All months of the year are good for fishing, but there are rainy months in El Salvador that can make it more challenging. We recommend fishing from October to July when you can make the most of the experience.
How many miles is fishing done?
Inshore fishing is typically done around 3 miles off the coast, depending on conditions and target species.
Offshore fishing is done between 5 and 15 miles out.
Which species are released?
We promote responsible fishing, so species like sailfish and certain types of marlin are released to conserve local populations.
Are the fishing guides and captains experienced?
Yes, all our guides and captains have years of experience fishing in Salvadoran waters and know the best spots and techniques.
Can I bring my own fishing gear?
Of course! Although our boats are equipped with high-quality gear, you are welcome to bring your own equipment if you prefer.
What is the process for transporting and storing the fish we catch? Can I take them home?
We can fillet and pack your catch for you to take home. If you wish to transport it internationally, we recommend checking local regulations on importing fish.
What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our fishing trip?
Safety is our priority. If the weather is unsafe for fishing, we will offer you the option to reschedule the trip
How do I get to the fishing lodge from the airport?
Our fishing packages include private transfers to and from the airport. Our driver will be waiting to comfortably take you to the lodge, and the transport will have a cooler with drinks and snacks for you to enjoy along the way.

How far is the hotel from the airport?
The hotel is located approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes from Monseñor Óscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport.

Yes, we offer travel insurance as part of our packages or as an optional add-on. Coverage includes medical assistance, cancellations, lost luggage, and other unforeseen events during your stay. It's a great way to travel with extra peace of mind. Our team will help you arrange this service. Just ask when you book.

CANCELLATIONS
In the event that a cancellation is necessary, Casa del Golfo must be notified by calling SV +503 7854 2421 | USA +1 (430) 258 2211, at least 45 days before the date of your trip. There are no refunds for no-shows or cancellations within 45 days of your travel date.
