Is it safe to fish in El Salvador?
Fishing in El Salvador is very safe, with amazing weather that makes it pleaseant for your trip. At Casa del Golfo, we ensure that our boats and crew comply with all safety regulations. Additionally, our captains have the required experience.
What types of fish can I catch in El Salvador?

What is the best fishing season?
All months of the year are good for fishing, but there are rainy months in El Salvador that can make it more challenging. We recommend fishing from October to July when you can make the most of the experience.
How many miles is fishing done?
Inshore fishing is typically done around 3 miles off the coast, depending on conditions and target species.
Offshore fishing is done between 5 and 15 miles out.
Which species are released?
We promote responsible fishing, so species like sailfish and certain types of marlin are released to conserve local populations.
Are the fishing guides and captains experienced?
Yes, all our guides and captains have years of experience fishing in Salvadoran waters and know the best spots and techniques.
Can I bring my own fishing gear?
Of course! Although our boats are equipped with high-quality gear, you are welcome to bring your own equipment if you prefer.
What is the process for transporting and storing the fish we catch? Can I take them home?
We can fillet and pack your catch for you to take home. If you wish to transport it internationally, we recommend checking local regulations on importing fish.
What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our fishing trip?
Safety is our priority. If the weather is unsafe for fishing, we will offer you the option to reschedule the trip
How do I get to the fishing lodge from the airport?
Our fishing packages include private transfers to and from the airport. Our driver will be waiting to comfortably take you to the lodge, and the transport will have a cooler with drinks and snacks for you to enjoy along the way.

How far is the hotel from the airport?
The hotel is located approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes from Monseñor Óscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport.
Do fishing packages include meals?
Yes, all our fishing packages include «À la Carte» meals and snacks, as well as local beers and soft drinks.
What are the accommodation options for anglers?
We offer luxury accommodation in comfortable rooms and suites, with ocean views, access to pools, and a private beach.
What other activities are available for non-fishers?
We offer a variety of activities for non-fishers, such as pedal kayaking, snorkeling, island tours, massages, and many more things you can do in the Gulf of Fonseca area.
Does the travel package include travel insurance?
Yes, we offer travel insurance as part of our packages or as an optional add-on. Coverage includes medical assistance, cancellations, lost luggage, and other unforeseen events during your stay. It's a great way to travel with extra peace of mind. Our team will help you arrange this service. Just ask when you book.

Nor will Casa del Golfo be liable for any injury, loss or damage caused by accidents or other events, including acts of God or weather conditions, or by any action or negligence of third party assistants or any act, error or omission, loss due to injury. or accident, delay or irregularity that may occur for any reason, including negligence for non-performance of any individual or company engaged in providing services to the guest. If advisable or necessary for any reason, Casa del Golfo, its employees or agents may alter a guest’s itinerary or arrangements at an additional cost, if any, to be borne by the guest.
CANCELLATIONS
In the event that a cancellation is necessary, Casa del Golfo must be notified by calling SV +503 7854 2421 | USA +1 (430) 258 2211, at least 45 days before the date of your trip. There are no refunds for no-shows or cancellations within 45 days of your travel date.
